2016 News

We wish a Happy New Year to all our clients and all those who follow us on Twitter and Facebook as well as our blogs.

With the New Year upon us we thought we would provide you with an update as to the new and exciting developments here at Sterling Costs.

Firstly we now have separate departments dealing with Private Funded work and Public Funded work.

As many of you will be aware our private funded services include bills of costs, points of dispute/replies, advocacy, budgets and advice.

However we now have a separate department dealing with the ever complicated Legal Aid (Publicly Funded) billing process. We are providing the full service of drafting the initial Bill/Claim form, taking the Bill from Court assessment through to the final claim for payment to the LAA. As well as dealing with both the old format paper claims and CCMS submissions, our service will include the preparation of a LAA compliant assessment bundle and the discharge of the funding certificate if necessary.

Secondly, we have employed a new Head of Costs namely Mr Sam Thaker. Sam drew his first bill of costs in the late 1980’s and has since been involved in the development and management of a lengthy list of businesses within the costs industry, as well as other industries, both in the UK and abroad. Sam has vast experience in costs as well as business and systems development and we are sure he will contribute to making our brand even bigger and better.
